Designed by Concrete Architects, the Scandic Norge Hotel recently opened its doors, offering a fresh destination for curious travelers. The hotel seamlessly blends Bergen’s rich urban heritage with a cosmopolitan, contemporary lifestyle. One of the design highlights is the towering “sun” that rises majestically in the lobby, creating a breathtaking centerpiece at the heart of the property. More than just a place to stay, the hotel serves as a destination in itself, providing business and leisure travelers with a chance to momentarily escape the rhythms of everyday life. A thoughtfully curated sequence of spaces exudes distinct character while celebrating Bergen’s unique identity. Guests can connect with like-minded peers at the Norge Café, where bright natural light and an urban‑inspired ambiance invite lingering moments. Beyond the lobby lies an even more refined and layered space, illuminated by a monumental “sun” whose hue shifts with the seasons and moods. For dining, the NOVA Restaurant offers a sumptuous selection of authentic Nordic cuisine; the concierge team helps uncover hidden facets of the city; and cozy, cabin‑style rooms provide the perfect setting for relaxation. The very act of checking in becomes a journey in itself: nestled in the city’s mountain‑surrounded core, both visitors and locals alike can step away from the daily hustle and lose themselves in the sweeping vistas of peaks and sea.

Norge Café seamlessly blends an international urban vibe with Bergen’s distinctive character. Here, guests can dine, work, relax, or connect with like-minded friends to share ideas and experiences. The wooden staircase linking the two floors doubles as a stage for talks and performances, while the central bar serves freshly baked breakfasts in the morning and exotic cocktails in the evening. Bergen is a sun-drenched city, and the hotel lobby basks in its golden light throughout the day. From the lobby, an escalator takes you to the second floor, leading straight into the heart of the property. Whether checking in or simply wandering, guests are enveloped by soothing live music and radiant sunshine. OVA Restaurant offers an extensive selection of authentic Nordic cuisine, continually reimagining traditional flavors with creative twists. Its flexible spaces can be opened up or partitioned, creating distinct atmospheres that feel both intimate and inviting. Soft-textured walls and expansive windows frame ever‑changing natural vistas, bringing the outside in. The hotel’s guest rooms marry contemporary design with the timeless charm of a traditional Norwegian cabin. Step into the foyer, kick off your shoes, close the room’s double doors—and there it is: a moment of serene escape from the hustle and bustle.

Lighting Analysis of the Jinke Lili Restaurant

The lighting design of Jinke Lili Restaurant establishes an overall ambiance: warm tones lay the foundation, while refined elegance carries forward the restaurant’s aesthetic. It not only aligns with the high‑end Sichuan cuisine establishment’s “cultural sophistication” and “premium positioning,” but also uses expert light and shadow to faithfully capture the “color, aroma, and presentation” of Sichuan dishes. At the same time, it accommodates the needs of various settings, allowing diners to savor the allure of Sichuan cuisine within a comfortably immersive visual experience.

The lighting design of the sushi restaurant is delicate.

The core of the restaurant’s lighting design is “centered on the ingredients.”
