SUFN Sanfeng Lighting, Moying Lighting & IHIDA | Chongqing Design Study Tour

For designers, all “beauty” serves as a source of inspiration; every sight encountered along the way can translate into creative ideas. Studying abroad is both a way to nourish one’s design practice and the best means of gaining a deeper understanding of the world.
From September 2 to 4, the 2024 Chongqing Design Study Tour, hosted by the IHIDA Residential Space Designers Club and co-organized by Sanfeng Lighting, Moying Lighting, and Loufugong Home Furnishings—brands under Yanfeng Lighting—concluded successfully. Twenty-five designers from across China gathered for a three-day journey of design exchange.
The first stop on this study tour was Chongqing Zonghao Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd., where Design Director Liu Zengshen engaged in in-depth discussions and interactive exchanges with the designers present, while also sharing real‑world project case studies from Zonghao. He meticulously dissected the design ingenuity behind each project and the practical details of its on‑site implementation.
We visited Chongqing Shangyi Yang Design Co., Ltd., where the company’s Creative Director, Teacher Xie Ke, shared his design philosophies across various project types, including private residences, showrooms, and hotels.

On September 3, a group of designers gathered at the Yiji Life Art Museum, curated by Teacher Xie Ke. The space showcases the culmination of Teacher Xie Ke’s design philosophy and his extensive experience in the field of travel and education. According to Yiji’s team, “Yiji aims to expand the possibilities of product‑category pairings, infusing every space with vitality. By skillfully arranging and integrating products into diverse environments, we seek to fully highlight each item’s unique qualities.”

For many years, SUFN Sanfeng Lighting and Moorlight Mooying Lighting have maintained close ties with a community of design elites, striving to build a multidimensional platform for empowerment, exchange, and learning—supporting the growth of young designers and the development of sustainable systems.
